Member Experience Committee

The Member Experience Committee supports the people who make NOLA Vox possible—our singers. This committee is responsible for guiding members through the full lifecycle of participation, from initial interest and onboarding to active engagement, retention, and continued connection beyond active membership.

By focusing on communication, care, and consistency, the Member Experience Committee helps ensure that every singer feels welcomed, supported, and valued. The committee works to create a positive, inclusive experience that encourages long-term involvement while honoring the contributions of former members who remain part of the NOLA Vox family.

Through thoughtful stewardship of our membership experience, this committee strengthens the health of the chorus, reinforces a culture of belonging, and supports NOLA Vox’s mission of enriching lives through vocal harmony in New Orleans.

Music Team

The NOLA Vox Music Team is responsible for cultivating vocal excellence and shaping the artistic identity of the chorus. Guided by our strategic plan, this team supports the development of individual singers, the collective sound of the ensemble, and the musical experiences that define NOLA Vox.

Through intentional rehearsal design, coaching, recordings, and musical leadership, the Music Team works to strengthen each member’s performance skills while building the precision and blend required for high-level a cappella singing. By creating a structured, supportive rehearsal environment, the team helps singers grow in confidence, musicianship, and ensemble awareness—laying the foundation for consistent, high-quality performances.

The Music Team also ensures that NOLA Vox’s repertoire reflects the rich musical heritage and cultural diversity of New Orleans. Music selection is guided by a commitment to honoring local roots, incorporating a range of styles and influences, and supporting regional arrangers and performers whenever possible. This approach helps NOLA Vox present performances that are both musically compelling and authentically connected to the community we serve.

In addition, the Music Team helps build the infrastructure that supports a positive and focused member experience. By coordinating musical resources, managing scores and learning materials, and working with other leadership teams to streamline logistics, the Music Team allows singers to concentrate on what matters most—making great music together.

Through this work, the Music Team advances NOLA Vox’s artistic goals while fostering the excellence, connection, and joy that define the chorus.

Community Care Committee

The Community Care Committee supports the people at the heart of NOLA Vox. Operating under the Community Committee, this team is responsible for welcoming new singers, supporting current members, and maintaining meaningful connections with former members—ensuring that every person who engages with NOLA Vox feels valued and included at every stage of their journey.

From first contact and onboarding to ongoing engagement and thoughtful off-ramps, the Community Care Committee focuses on creating a positive, supportive member experience. By fostering open communication, encouraging connection, and promoting a culture of belonging, the committee helps strengthen retention, sustain relationships, and build a healthy, inclusive chorus community.

Through this work, Community Care reinforces NOLA Vox’s mission of enriching lives through vocal harmony, recognizing that membership is not just about singing—it’s about community.

Finance Committee

The Finance Committee stewards the financial health and sustainability of NOLA Vox. Working in partnership with the Board and leadership team, this committee oversees budgeting, financial planning, and reporting to ensure the organization has the resources needed to fulfill its mission and long-term strategic goals.

By developing and monitoring annual budgets, tracking financial performance, and supporting sound financial policies, the Finance Committee helps NOLA Vox make informed decisions and plan responsibly for the future. The committee also provides guidance on funding priorities, supports concert and program planning from a financial perspective, and promotes transparency and accountability across the organization.

Through careful stewardship and forward-looking planning, the Finance Committee enables NOLA Vox to focus on what matters most—bringing vocal harmony to the New Orleans community and enriching lives through music.

Marketing Team

The NOLA Vox Marketing Team is responsible for shaping how our story is told and how our music shows up in the community. Guided by our strategic plan, this team works to understand and strengthen the NOLA Vox brand, ensuring our message is clear, consistent, and reflective of who we are.

Through thoughtful planning and execution, the Marketing Team develops and delivers marketing strategies that elevate our visibility—highlighting our concerts, community impact, and the people who make NOLA Vox special. From social media and digital tools to creative storytelling and targeted promotion, the team continues to evolve our approach, building on lessons learned from past concerts and embracing new technologies to reach wider audiences.

As NOLA Vox grows, the Marketing Team also plays a key role in establishing a predictable concert season and recognizable annual events. By supporting a consistent schedule and familiar venues, the team helps position NOLA Vox as a year-round presence in the New Orleans arts community—making it easier for audiences to find us, follow us, and return again and again.
